I get satisfaction every day from helping my patients understand their eyes or vision and they come away from the exam learning something new. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I help patients live their best lives by providing the latest proven technologies in eyecare, making improvements in vision throughout their lifetime. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? I believe a transformational eyecare experience involves sharing knowledge with my patients, so they learn something new about eye health and vision at every appointment. How are you impacting your local community? The biggest impact I have in the Holland area is providing prescription safety glasses for thousands of workers, allowing them to perform their best, which in turn impacts everybody that uses the products they manufacture. Hobbies/Interests: Fishing, Car mechanics, Wife and two boys.

Learning about each patient’s goals and/or hobbies to help tailor the exam to maximize vision and the overall eye health in all aspects of their lives. Hobbies/Interests: I love traveling, hiking, playing piano, and spending time with my growing family.

Ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of all patients. How are you impacting your local community? I am available and willing to help out any day of the week. Dr. Nusrat Jahan received her bachelor’s degree in pharmacology from Stony Brook University. She pursued her Doctorate at the State of New York College of Optometry. She has completed various clinical rotations to expand her skill set, including rotations in ocular disease at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, and in specialty contact lenses at the University Eye Center in Midtown Manhattan. Dr. Jahan provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages with various ocular conditions. She strives to listen wholeheartedly to meet the needs of his patients and give them the family-like experience they deserve. Outside the office, Dr. Jahan enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Impact: I strive to provide the best comprehensive eye care in Primary Eye Care setting, including Adult and Children’s Vision and Ocular Health assessment and Plans that include but are not limited to Spectacle and Contact lens fitting, Binocular Vision, Ocular Disease Management, and Diabetic Eye Exams and appropriate referrals when indicated and co-management with Specialists in their Fields of Expertise. I feel that patient education is paramount to achieving the above goals. I am the third OD in my family, and this has always been our desire to obtain the best outcome for all our patients possible. I enjoy traveling to underserved countries and providing care to people who've never had exams before. Giving someone glasses who have never had them and watching them see for the first time is amazing! How are you helping patients live their best lives? I enjoy helping people see their best and giving them the ability to keep performing the tasks and hobbies that are the most important to them. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? It means taking the time to listen to you patients, answer their questions and make sure they are comfortable with the decisions we are making to improve their vision together. How are you impacting your local community? giving to local schools, charities and spending time getting to know my community playing sports and volunteering. Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy playing a variety of sports, rock climbing, traveling, and spending time playing games with friends and family.

While completing her undergraduate degree in Biology Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA, Dr. Madhavi Jaspal started her optometric journey working as an optometric technician where she realized that she wanted to pursue her career in Optometry. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry in 2019. Soon after graduating, Dr. Jaspal completed her residency in Ocular Disease, Ocular Surgery, and Refractive Surgery at Woolfson Eye Institute, GA. She moved to New York after completing her residency to be closer to her husband. Her clinical interests include management and treatment for Dry Eyes. Dr. Jaspal enjoys working with patients of all ages. She stays current with up-to-date information so her patients can receive the best care. Her passion for multi-specialty medical Optometry and her attention to detail while treating patients benefit our patients and community.

We can typically fix the patients vision problems quick, and the patients leave the office happy. How are you helping patients live their best lives? By making them see better and feel more confident. How are you impacting your local community? I provide mobile eye care to patients in nursing homes. Many of them can’t leave the location so we go to them. Hobbies/Interests: Biking, hiking , dancing.

Most of our lives are perceived through our sense of sight, it’s an honor to be a part of caring for and maintaining the vision of the patients. How are you helping patients live their best lives? By assessing patient eyecare needs and taking into account their occupation, hobbies, and other visual demands. Hobbies/Interests: Time with my family, photography, traveling, fitness, food/culinary experiences-- I'm a bit of a foodie.

Dr. Johannes has been in practice since 2005. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology at St. Norbert College. And her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. She was a former Captain in the United States Army. When she is not working, she spends the majority of her time helping the less fortunate and marginalized. She loves her patients and has a mind, body, soul approach to caring for her patients.

Dr. Reshma John received her doctorate of optometry from the MCPHS School of Optometry after completing her undergraduate education at Converse University with a B.S. in Biology. She is a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. John enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
