Dr. Sophia Johnson attended Ferris State University and is a graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry. She helps her local community see their best by providing them with comprehensive eye care and a welcoming environment in her practice. Dr. Johnson likes to spend her spare time reading, painting, and swimming.

The reason I became an optometrist is: Always fascinated with the equipment at the eye doctor growing up. My favorite part of helping my patients is: giving them the best vision possible to they can live their best lives. In my spare time, I enjoy: Running in the parks; splaying sports with my kids.

Dr. Julia Jose completed her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida. Her Optometry degree was completed in Nova Southeastern University, where she also earned a second bachelor’s degree in Vision Sciences. She completed specialty training in diabetic eye exams and ocular disease. Dr. Jose always had a passion for this field, but her passion grew further after she went on a mission trip to Nicaragua during the end of her second year of optometry school. During this eye-opening trip, she helped provide eye care to over 1,000 underserved people of Nicaragua. Dr. Jose is compassionate with her patients, thorough, and most of all personable, which is the biggest compliment she gets. She treats everyone on her chair like they are her friend or family. Dr. Jose moved to Dallas, TX from sunny Florida at the beginning of 2022 after getting married to her husband who is a Dallas native. In her spare time, Dr. Jose likes to spend time with her family and friends, travel, and find new things to do in Dallas.

Dr. Ning-Ju Juang grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and went the University of Michigan for undergraduate school. She decided to venture out west and pursue her passion for optometry at the University of California, Berkeley. After living in Chicago and New York, the pull of her hometown brought her back to Ann Arbor where she now resides with her family. Here interests include cooking, playing the violin, hiking, and traveling the world.

Dr. Angelica Juarez was born and raised in Galveston, Texas and attended the University of Houston where she received a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Dr. Juarez then graduated from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. She is a board certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma specialist. Passionate about eye care and committed to improving patient outcomes, Dr. Juarez is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with patients, taking time to listen to their concerns and offer personalized care. Outside of work, Dr. Juarez enjoys spending time outdoors, watching sports and reading.

Clinical Certifications & Specialties: My particular areas of interest are primary care optometry and dry eye. What drives your passion for optometry? I'm excited that I can make a difference in people's' lives. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I strive to address their eye health needs and to help them see as well as possible. I recently moved back to my hometown of Cleveland and am looking forward to getting involved in the local community. Hobbies/Interests: Travel, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Dr. Kabiri strives to provide exceptional comprehensive eye care to all patients ranging from children to geriatric adults. Dr. Kabiri specializes in dry eye therapy, myopia management, and contact lens exams. Dr. Kabiri is passionate about giving back to the community and is proud to be part of organizations including Lions Club International, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, and Global Medical Training. Hobbies/Interests: Outside of taking care of her patients, Dr. Kabiri enjoys staying active by going to the gym, hiking, and playing in an adult league soccer club. Some of her favorite hobbies include reading, listening to educational podcasts, and sharing eyecare health/tips through her social media Instagram.

Professional Achievements and Associations: I am a member of the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. I became an optometrist because I grew up with the experience of needing glasses and contacts at a young age. It sparked my curiosity about the human eye and the science behind best vision correction. Through my many years of schooling and clinical experiences, I recognized that being an optometrist wasn't just about diagnosing refractive errors or prescribing lenses; it was about building meaningful relationships with patients, understanding their unique needs, and helping them live their best lives with clear vision. Each patient encounter enforces the life-changing impact optometry has on all individuals. Hobbies/Interests: In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, watching the Green Bay Packers, and walking my puppy, Rudy.

Dr. Lauren Kalinowski completed her undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo with a BS in Biology. She graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. A resident of the Village of Williamsville, Dr. Kalinowski has practiced as an Optometrist with diverse experiences for over 13 years.

By providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, binocular visual dysfunctions, and ocular disease management. I chose this profession to provide individuals with comprehensive eye care to enhance their quality of life. Hobbies/Interests: In my personal time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family.

Helping patients get what they visually need. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I am helping our kids function to their potential with their busy electronic educational demands, which helps families understand the various visual needs. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Not only are the basic needs of seeing adequately important but understanding how vision and its devices can affect some peoples' overall development, or a simple change in a pair of glasses can make you feel better, can give a unique eyecare experience. How are you impacting your local community? I enjoy teaching my patients overall basic eye health and anatomy and how it pertains to their unique situation, which can promote better hygiene overall. Hobbies/Interests: Hobbies are volunteering, spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and whatever interests my children are into at the time, which is currently Taekwondo, and spending time at the beach.

Dr. Gayle Karanges is a leading optometrist in Arlington, Texas, where she has been serving the community since 1988. With over 30 years of experience in the field, her passion for optometry stems from her desire to help patients improve their vision and maintain healthy eyes, recognizing that our eyes reflect vital aspects of our overall well-being. With a Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston, Dr. Karanges’ dedication extends to professional development, regularly attending continuing education courses in the field of optometry. This commitment ensures she remains at the forefront of advancements in diagnosing and managing complex vision disorders, including keratoconus, diabetic eye conditions, and dry eyes. Dr. Karanges is a devoted mother of two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness training, tennis, and showing cutting horses. Dr. Karanges aspires to inspire women to pursue their ambitions and believe they can achieve success in both their personal and professional lives. She encourages her daughters, as well as those around her, to strive for their best, embrace challenges, and remain passionate about their work.
