Jina Schaff, OD

About Dr. Jina Schaff

Dr. Jina Schaff studied at the University of Wyoming and the Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Schaff knew she wanted to become an optometrist when she was in the 7th grade. To pursue her dream, she started working for OD’s in high school and throughout her undergraduate years. Dr. Schaff specializes in pediatrics (esotropia, exotropia, and amblyopia), dry eye treatment, and multifocal contact lenses. Dr. Schaff has volunteered with Von Miller’s Philanthropy, Von’s Vision, facilitating vision exams and providing glasses for underprivileged children in Denver and the surrounding area since 2013. In 2017, she joined the Advisory Board for Von’s Vision where she assisted in implementing the Von’s Vision Centers located in the Boys and Girls Clubs of Montbello and Lincoln Park. When Dr. Schaff isn’t working, she can be found at her children’s events, running with her dog Bear, riding her bike, and skiing in Winter Park.

Most rewarding to me, is that I’m still providing eye care to many of these patients, and their families, since early in my career. It’s especially thrilling when a patient comes in who I first treated when they were 10 years old, and now they come in with they’re whole family, including their 10 year old child! Professional Achievements and Associations: Member of American Optometric Association; Member of Virginia Optometric Association; Member of Tidewater Optometric Association, the reason I became an optometrist is: I knew in high school that I wanted to pursue a career that was science or medically related. Since I had been wearing glasses myself from the age of 6 I knew that good vision was an important part of my life. I decided to investigate what was required to qualify for Optometry School. I have never looked back. As an Optometrist I play a vital role in eye care. Not only do I prescribe glasses and contact lenses, but I detect and manage eye diseases and disorders of the visual system. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I love being able to interact with and learn about so many different people every day. I especially love seeing my patients back year after year and watching their families grow and change. In my spare time, I enjoy: Cycling, walking, boating, gardening, and hanging out with my husband and three dogs.

After attending the University of South Florida and the University of Maryland, College Park, he pursued his passion for eye care at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Care and a Doctor of Optometry degree there. Dr. Schneid is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association, showcasing his commitment to professional growth and community service. His involvement with the InfantSEE program and the Lion’s Club reflects his dedication to providing essential care, especially to needy children. Practicing in Takoma Park, he’s known for his outgoing personality and caring demeanor, making his patients feel comfortable and valued. About Dr. Marcy Schultenover

A native of Michigan, Dr. Marcy Schultenover attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for her undergraduate degree. While completing her graduate degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, she had externships in the Pediatric and Low Vision Specialties Clinic in the New England Eye Institute in Boston, MA, the Newington, CT VA Hospital, and the Dorchester House Community Clinic in Dorchester, MA. She holds current memberships in the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the AOA and the New Hampshire Optometric Association. Dr. Schultenover is a certified provider in CooperVision’s Brilliant Futures™ Myopia Management program. She’s health-focused and tries to make exercise and healthy eating a priority, often cooking with her daughter who has an affinity for ethnic dishes. Dr. Schultenover loves to travel and plans family trips that offer a variety of different experiences, cultural exposure, and cuisines.

About Dr. Kendall Schultz

Dr. Schultz grew up in Coppell, Texas and earned a Bachelor’s degree with Magna Cum Laude honors in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated in 2019 with Summa Cum Laude honors. During her education, Dr. Schultz received several awards from her peers and faculty. She received the Excellence in Medical Optometry Award and was selected for membership into the Gold Key Optometric Society for being an outstanding student leader in the Student Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Schultz is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist who has special interests in primary vision care, contact lenses, ocular disease, and myopia control. During her clinical rotations, she trained extensively in the art of specialty contact lens evaluations, including scleral lenses and multifocal soft contact lenses. She pursued extra training in the management of pre/post-operative cataract surgery patients and those with ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Schultz is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, and Gold Key Optometric Society. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her husband Chris. Her hobbies include fitness, traveling, tennis, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and reading.
