Nolan Riley, OD
Dr. Nolan Riley fell in love with the eye when he was lucky enough to do undergraduate research on corneal nerve innervation. In 2016, he was named the Young Optometrist of the State of Texas.
Dr. Riley always tries to be empathetic about the specific needs of each patient. Helping people with their sense of sight is the most rewarding thing to him. Whether it is setting patients at ease by helping them to improve their vision or navigate a stressful, serious diagnosis—like glaucoma or macular degeneration—both are equally worthwhile. Additionally, Dr. Riley appreciates helping children with Vision Therapy. He is also active with Younglife, a Christian organization in West Texas.
Mentoring young eye doctors is another passion of Dr. Riley. He loves working with externs, helping them become more efficient in their individual skills. This also allows his office to help more patients than he could on his own.
Dr. Riley considers Dr. Reber and Dr. Fallin in his office his best friends. He truly values knowing they will take care of his extended family (his patients) just like they would their own family. He never has to worry about the level of care that his patients will receive with them. His staff is the same way. He credits their incredible giving hearts for making his job the easiest and most rewarding thing he could have ever imagined doing.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Riley likes to spend his time flying and golfing.
