Primarily, my grandmother passed as a result of a pituitary tumor not being diagnosed until she had lost her eyesight. How are you helping patients live their best lives? By providing the best eye health and wellness care, our patients will see their world in the best light possible. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of all patients. How are you impacting your local community? I have participated in a local version of Mission Makeover and Christmas Prayers to help those less fortunate afford eyecare. Hobbies/Interests: I love to golf and to travel. I am eager to see the prophetic ministry including signs, miracles and wonders return.

It brings me so much joy to help others live a clear and comfortable life while building meaningful relationships with my patients and their families. Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, and exploring the great outdoors with my husband, son, and our pup Penny!

Dr. Thatcher graduated from Ferris State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science. In 2008, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry. Dr. Thatcher completed an ocular disease residency at Indiana University School of Optometry in 2009. She is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Thatcher has also participated in two mission trips to Mexico. Her areas of special interest include ocular disease and primary care.

Dr. James Thirion joined MyEyeDr.in January of 2024. Dr. Thirion and his wife grew up in the Tulsa area, where they met while working their first job at McDonald’s while still in High School. After graduating and being recognized for outstanding clinical skills from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry with his Doctorate of Optometry, Dr. Thirion began working at Will Rogers Health Center in Nowata. Dr. Thirion has been recognized at National Meetings for projects he completed regarding amblyopia, identification of skin lesions, and contact lenses.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Serving my patients in all areas of their daily visual needs and treating each patient as if they were my own family – true quality care is my utmost desire, and my hope is that each person I encounter feels like they were thoroughly cared for. Hobbies/Interests: Road trips, coffee, and finding new places to eat with my wife.

The reason I became an optometrist is: Always wanted to be in the medical field and the eyes are amazing. Being able to correct a patient’s vision for the first time is very rewarding. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Being able to get them to see better and keeping their vision from getting worse by monitoring for any disease and catch it early. I enjoy the trust and friendship I have developed over the many years with my patients. In my spare time, I enjoy: Golfing, traveling.

Sarah E. Thompson grew up in the Chicago area. She received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and went on to fulfill her professional degree at Indiana University School of Optometry. She then moved to Denver in June 2005 to begin her optometric career. Dr. Thompson appreciates working in a private practice setting where she can focus on patient education and quality eye care. She is trained to perform comprehensive eye examinations, co-manage cataract and laser surgeries, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, fit a variety of contact lenses, perform pediatric examinations, and treat dry or red eyes. In her spare time, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I have always thought Optometry was a unique way to provide a helping hand directly into the everyday lives of others. With that in mind, I strive to help patients by providing comprehensive eye exams to make sure they leave with the best vision possible. Hobbies: I enjoy hanging out with friends/family, dancing, gaming, and consuming music/media from other countries (particularly Korean pop music and dramas)!

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? As an optometrist, I strive to provide every patient of mine with quality patient care. By treating people with thorough exams and assessing their ocular health, I do my best to treat everyone the same way I would treat my family members in my chair. Through compassion, dedication, and pride, the management of your eye care becomes my top priority as we build a local family together! Hobbies/Interests: Hanging out with family & friends, traveling, reading.

Dr. Tidswell is a native of southern Colorado having grown up in Lamar, CO. He received his undergraduate degree from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO and graduated with Honors from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. He has provided eyecare to the southern Colorado area since 1984 and has lived in Colorado Springs since 2005. Dr. Tidswell loves to spend time with his wife and 3 grown daughters who reside in Colorado Spring, Alaska, and South Carolina. Away from the office, he enjoys traveling and being with his family.

Including diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, glaucoma evaluation, pediatric eye exams and ocular disease management. Hobbies/Interests: Spending time with my husband & two young sons (Jack & Clark), home improvement projects, going on walks with our Wheaten Terrier (Oreck) and cooking.
