About Dr. Paula Thatcher

Dr. Thatcher graduated from Ferris State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science. In 2008, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry. Dr. Thatcher completed an ocular disease residency at Indiana University School of Optometry in 2009. She is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Thatcher has also participated in two mission trips to Mexico. Her areas of special interest include ocular disease and primary care.

About Dr. Daniel Thomas

Undergraduate Education: Originally from New Hampshire, Dr. Thomas got his undergraduate degree from Colby College, where he studied Music and Classical Civilization. He went on to get a master’s degree in music theory from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Optometry School: Dr. Thomas attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where he received his Doctorate in Optometry. Professional Achievements and Associations: Cr. Thomas is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association, and the Central Maryland Optometric Association. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Dr, Thomas has been certified by the Brilliant Futures Myopia Management Program. The reason I became an optometrist is: Following in my father’s footsteps, I wanted to use my natural talents both in the arts and the sciences to find meaningful work that makes a difference in the lives of other people. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Getting to know each of my patients and being able to help them see their best! In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my wife and two boys. I love to travel and learn about new people and cultures. I enjoy reading and hiking.

The reason I became an optometrist is: Always wanted to be in the medical field and the eyes are amazing. Being able to correct a patient’s vision for the first time is very rewarding. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Being able to get them to see better and keeping their vision from getting worse by monitoring for any disease and catch it early. I enjoy the trust and friendship I have developed over the many years with my patients. In my spare time, I enjoy: Golfing, traveling.

About Dr. Sarah Thompson

Sarah E. Thompson grew up in the Chicago area. She received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and went on to fulfill her professional degree at Indiana University School of Optometry. She then moved to Denver in June 2005 to begin her optometric career. Dr. Thompson appreciates working in a private practice setting where she can focus on patient education and quality eye care. She is trained to perform comprehensive eye examinations, co-manage cataract and laser surgeries, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, fit a variety of contact lenses, perform pediatric examinations, and treat dry or red eyes. In her spare time, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

He has provided eyecare to the southern Colorado area since 1984 and has lived in Colorado Springs since 2005. About Dr. John Till

Dr. Till graduated from Indiana School of Optometry in 2017. While in school he was a Dean’s Scholar and focused his research on concussions and involuntary eye movements. This experience allowed him to combine his passion for athletics with optometric care. He was also a research assistant in the Optics Research Lab and learned a tremendous amount about the various properties of different contact lenses, particularly in relation to dry eyes. Dr. Till completed external rotations at the Dorn VA Medical Center, Huntington VA Medical Center, Quantico Naval Health Care Center, and Indianapolis Eye Care Center. While on rotations he received extensive training in comprehensive medical optometry and contact lenses. Dr. Till lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Chelsea, and his two sons, Jack and Clark. In his free time, he enjoys doing projects around the house, playing guitar, and playing with their dog, Oreck.
