Undergraduate University: Emory University. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry. How I am impacting my local community and helping patients live their best lives: For the past 35 years I have been providing the greater Miramar community with comprehensive eye examinations for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens evaluations, binocular vision dysfunction assessments and ocular disease management. Hobbies/Interests: Golf, pickleball, reading, travel.

Dr. Julie Poteet received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry. Upon completion of her residency with the Brockton and West Rosbury VA Medical Centers in Massachusetts, she worked with one of Harvard’s top ophthalmology professors in private practice in Peabody, Massachusetts. After returning to GA, Dr. Poteet has worked in private practice in the Acworth area and completed a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Pediatric Vision care is also a passion of Dr. Poteet’s as she believes in the value of treating the whole child and removing any barriers that prevent them from achieving their fullest academic potential. Dr. Poteet is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society.

The reason I became an optometrist is: To take a love for science and health and translate it through patient care to help improve people's lives and contribute to my community. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Helping patients understand their ocular conditions and the importance of eye health so that they can have a lifetime of good vision. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my family (two children), writing, vegan baking, playing piano.

Dr. Allison Price is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. She is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist in the State of Texas and a Optometric Glaucoma Specialists. In addition, she is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, Arlington Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni Association, Arlington Junior League, and an active member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington. Dr. Price did her externship in Plano, TX and Morrow, GA where she gained experience in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases such as cataracts, diabetes, and macular degeneration. Drs. Daniel and Allison are the proud parents of two beautiful children.

Dr. Daniel Price attended the University of Georgia where he received his degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and a Optometric Glaucoma Specialists, and belongs to the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Price is also an active member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington. His specialty is contact lenses and ocular disease due to the extensive training on his externs in Marietta and Morrow, Georgia. Drs. Daniel and Allison Price are the proud parents of two beautiful children.

Being able to help people preserve and improve their vision is exciting and rewarding! How are you helping patients live their best lives? Every patient visit is an opportunity to help people improve their quality of life. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Being able to help people improve their quality of life by enhancing and protecting their sight. How are you impacting your local community? Being available to serve my community by being available for emergency visits, red eye visits as well as routine eye care. Hobbies/Interests: I love spending time with my wife and boys, and am a sports car enthusiast.

Undergraduate Education: Augustana College. Optometry School: Illinois College of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? We provide eyecare and eyeglasses to children in need in the community through the school district and have been a longstanding neighborhood practice including seeing Northwestern University student athletes. Hobbies/Interests: I love spending as much time outdoors during the warmer months with my two little kids bike riding and gardening (them digging in the dirt) and taking pictures of our adventures.

I enjoy improving the quality of life for those in my community. Vision is a very important sense and I like helping others become their best. Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy traveling around the world. Learning about other cultures and food is one of my passions. I am also an avid book reader and movie enthusiast.

Certifications/Awards: Certificate of recognition for services rendered while practicing at the Naval Health Clinic in Quantico, Virginia. Recognized by the Houston Department of Health & Human Services Foundation for his dedicated service to the visually challenged youth of Houston. Hobbies/Interests: Farming/Ranching.

My favorite part of helping my patients is meeting new people and developing long lasting patient/doctor relationships. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I strive to give the best care to my patients by properly educating them about how their ocular health can be directly influenced by their systemic health. I make it a priority to provide my patients with the tools and resources they need to improve and maintain their ocular health as well as their overall well-being. I also love creating meaningful connections with my patients to understand who they are and what they do to ensure that their needs are being met. Hobbies/Interests: Teaching yoga and Pilates, hiking, traveling, eating good food, and finding new coffee shops.
