Dr. Lee completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin in 2002. He then pursued his lifelong passion of being an optometrist and graduated from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico College of Optometry in 2008. Afterward, he moved to New Jersey and completed a residency program in ocular disease and primary care at the Eye Care Center of New Jersey in 2009. Dr. Lee enjoys being active and likes to play basketball and tennis.

DR. Nyok Lee

About Dr. Nyok Lee

Dr. Nyok “Alan” Lee, O.D. is a licensed Optometric Glaucoma specialist and is therapeutically certified. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. During his clinical education, he completed his externships at Veterans Affairs and Codman Square Community Health Center where he gained valuable experience in diagnosing and management of various ocular diseases including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. He also completed his primary care rotation with EyeTrends in the Woodlands and a cornea and specialty contact lens rotation with Global Vision Rehabilitation Center in Miami. Dr. Lee’s clinical interest is in the application of specialty contact lenses in the treatment of various corneal and ocular surface conditions including keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, and dry eyes. He also believes that having a healthy vision from an early age is key to success and enjoys working with the pediatric population. Dr. Lee applies a relaxed demeanor in patient encounters to foster a friendly doctor/patient interaction. Dr. Lee is recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Eye Doctors. In this free time, Dr. Lee enjoys longboarding, traveling, and spending time with his dogs. He considers Houston his home and enjoys exploring new aspects that the city continues to offer.

DR. Shannon Leitenbauer

About Dr. Shannon Leitenbauer

Dr. Shannon Leitenbauer graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, then received her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Upon graduation, she completed her residency in a hospital-based primary eye care/ocular disease clinic at the Veteran’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1998, she began in private practice. Her credentials include being a Certified Optometric Physician and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Leitenbauer has served in several faculty positions, including Adjunct Faculty of Biology and Anatomy/Physiology at Indian River State College and The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. She also was an Adjunct Lecturer for Massachusetts General Hospital’s Nursing Program. Dr. Leitenbauer enjoys serving the community where she lives. She is an active member of the Ft. Pierce Chamber of Commerce, is past president of the Ft. Pierce Downtown Kiwanis Club, has served on the board of directors of the Treasure Coast Food Bank, and has volunteered for the St. Lucie County Big Brothers / Big Sisters program. She resides in Ft. Pierce with her husband, Jony Leitenbauer, and their three children.

Inducted as Fellow in American Academy of Optometry in 1991.Professional career; taught at SCO 1983 to1987, private practice Okmulgee, OK 1987 to 1996. Practicing in Albany, GA since 1996, Dr. Leitner and his wife have made it their home. They married in 1982 the day after his graduation from SCO. They have three grown children and are active in Greenbriar Church and Tony’s GYM. His favorite activities are lap swimming and anything related to cars. She instructs various forms of group exercise and fitness.

I have been caring for many of my patients for over 20 years and am thankful for the opportunity to participate in their health and vision care. I currently serve on the board of directors of Wayfinders, an organization that provides mentoring, summer camp opportunities and year round enrichment to high achieving low income students in Charlotte. Dr. Hannah Lewis earned her B.S. in Public Health, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She then obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston, MA. To further enhance her training, Dr. Lewis completed an Ocular Disease residency at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She is passionate about improving her patients' quality of life through education on preventative ocular health and providing corrective treatments. Additionally, she is dedicated to serving her community by delivering excellent service and learning from its members. About Dr. Liqing Li

Dr. Li was born in China and raised in Texas, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. She recieved her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her clinical training at Southwest Vision Center and Kozlovsky Delay & Winter Eye Consultants, where she managed ocular diseases and provided pre and post-ocular surgical care. During time at school, she served as the President of Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA) and Sports Vision. She previously researched on color vision and publishing it in the journal "Eye". She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and Texas Optometric Association (TOA). She also volunteered on a mission trip to Guatemala, where she provided eyecare to the underserved population of Chichicastenango. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and aims to provide positive, impactful visual and ocular health solutions for patients' concerns. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with family.

It is great not having shots or high pitch drills at an optometrist’s office! I strive to provide quality eye care to patients as other optometrists have done for me. My favorite part of helping my patients is seeing the smiles and appreciation on my patient's face even with a mask on.
