The reason I became an optometrist is: I experienced an injury that put me in the care of optometrists and ophthalmologists at a very early age. Because of my own experiences and the care, I received, I developed a love for the field. It’s important to me that my patients feel well taken care of and that I continue to learn the best ways to facilitate their vision outcomes. Dr. Ryan Wooldridge is a Colorado Springs native. He completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and then proceeded to the University of Houston, College of Optometry where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Wooldridge worked as an optician for three years and gained valuable knowledge which allows him to provide the highest quality refractive care. His interests include refractive care, contact lenses, LASIK co-management, and medical optometry including red eye management. Dr. Wooldridge has a passion for helping people which was developed early in life and was strengthened when he went on 2 separate medical mission trips, once to Panama, and once to Nicaragua. During his time off, Ryan enjoys traveling, exploring the Denver and Boulder areas with his fiancé who is a residency trained optometrist and catching up with his Colorado friends and family.
